Steve Lacy has recently gone at it with certain attendees of his Give You The World Tour, smashing a fan’s camera during a New Orleans stop.
“Bad Habit” crooner Steve Lacy has gotten into it with recent attendees of his Give You The World Tour. On Monday night (October 24), the Gemini Rights artist held a show at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans when a concertgoer tossed an digital camera onstage, hitting Lacy.
“Yo, don’t throw no shit on the fuckin’ stage, please!” Lacy said before the altercation. The 24-year-old then asked to see the same fan’s camera before smashing it and storming offstage. “Yeah, that’s it. Peace,” Lacy said after the outburst.

Lacy has twelve dates remaining on his North American tour, which wraps at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on November 11. Although Lacy has been a member of The Internet since 2014, the Compton native is experiencing his breakout year with his solo major label debut Gemini Rights and lead single “Bad Habit” spending three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month.
In conversation with Lenny Kravitz for Billboard, Lacy spoke about Gemini Rights bringing out his transparent side.
With this album, I wanted to say shit straight up — stuff that I would even be afraid to say to my friends or to myself,” he said. “These days, I’m real open: Take it or leave it. If it don’t resonate, then it’s not for you, but I’m not going to feel less worthy of love because of that.”
