Singing as an art form should not be denigrated. If it ever does, issues such as gender equality, racism, and poverty might continue to characterize our livelihoods. But what if all artists were practical with their performance? Well, Shaadey is sure that the world would be a different place if this was achieved. She realizes that the challenges we see in our communities exist because leaders neglect them- the same applies to creatives who simply want to entertain but not influence their listeners with positive vibes. Things can be different and Shaadey knows this is possible.
Shaadey 21 years old from Roselle, New Jersey. She started making music at the age of 14, where she was learning how the recording studio operates. She is a singer and songwriter who is destined to officially make it in the music industry. She would describe her music as very much relatable. She strives to make music as relatable as possible because that’s what she feels like blows up the most from the audience. The genre of music that she specializes in is R&B and Pop. She has been singing since she was 6 years old and started singing in church choir ST. Luke Church of Christ. That is where she developed her performing skills and the ground zero from when she knew that singing is going to be the path for her in her life.
Your First Song?
My first song that I ever made was “How you make me feel” which is a R&B song. The first song that I actually dropped was “Sorry” which dropped in 2020. I am very serious about my career, I want to be inspired by others and make a change in this world with music that is fun, creative, and relates.
Her inspiration is Beyonce and Michael Jackson and she says this because they have so much respect in the game and were so known for their craft. They both are huge entertainers with so much talent and that’s who and where she wants to be one day. Working with her can be fun and a little stressful sometimes because she has a good ear for music and when doing a song with her she expects it to be great and close to perfect. If she doesn’t feel your part of the song she may not like it and give you advice on how or what needs to be changed. It’s also good working with her because she provides a lot of feedback to make the song/project be the best it can be.
What features do you have?
I worked with Makaveli Wealthy in his song “Find A Queen”, my good friend Nasir Justice in my song “Distant”, and another song “Oh Yeah” with Moviee coming soon, an Afrobeat artist. I am currently not signed to any label, yet. My biggest supporters are my family. They are always right there watching me strive, reposting my music, and be the first to hear any song I make.
Right now she is currently working to push out her latest releases to the public even more and finding gigs to perform them at. Her latest releases were very recent. She dropped her very first EP “ Mixed Emotions” which consists of 7 songs and also her latest single “Not too Sure” .
Make sure to check out both projects that she just put out. Her next release would be a single not sure of the name but she wants to drop some more singles before her next big project which is an Album. In the next 5 years she sees herself walking on the red carpet to any Music Award Show getting ready to perform in front of the biggest artists and seeing her face and name all on the billboards in New York City.
