Saweetie says women run hip-hop due to violence among males
Saweetie is currently trending on social media, due to comments made while on The Bootleg Kev Podcast. The Bay Area rapper claims that female rappers are on top now, due to violence among male rappers in the industry. This comes in the aftermath of the shooting death of Migos rapper, Takeoff.
“I mean, L.A. and other cities, it just goes to show that this is the reason why women is running rap and Hip Hop,” she said. “Because there’s just so much violence and disrespect in the male music.”
“I feel like we gotta raise the vibration with the music and get back to having a good time” Saweetie went on to say. “I feel like there’s definitely a lack of] empathy and love, for real.”
Last week, Saweetie also released her first project of 2022. This was with her “The Single Life” EP, as it contains six new songs. The day before its released, she put out her “Don’t Say Nothin” single, which appeared to address Lil Baby 2021 dating rumors. Saweetie initially previewed this song while performing at Rolling Loud Miami, in July.
