“To me, social media is definitely an accelerator. However, it takes real people | and numbers to see the full benefits of it. It’s always strange when the “artist” who buys the followers and likes gets upset when real people don’t request or know their music. Radio amplifies people’s favorite songs. As a long-time Radio Personality and Marketing Guru, There are so many metrics we review when making official decisions and or coming to conclusions as it pertains to artists and their Influence. Social media is definitely one of the tools I use for research; however, In no way, shape or form has it “Replaced” radio.”
