NYC mother reportedly fatally stabbed two infant sons
It often used to be said that there is no deeper bond than that between parent and child. To be more specific, the deepest bond was said to be mother and child. Much of that comes from the mother carrying the child inside of her own body for nine months. That is an intimate form of bonding that cannot be duplicated. As a result, a mother usually always loves their child. However, there has been an alarming increase in reports of parents harming their children, and vice versa. In The Bronx, a woman is being accused of fatally stabbing her two children, both under the age of three.
Currently, there are political debates going on about women’s rights. Among other things, there are activists pushing for more postpartum care. There has been an increase in women opening up about suffering from postpartum depression. While many of these women have strong support systems, others do not. As a result, there are children being abandoned. Even worse, there are some women who are harming their small children. None of this is justification for them ending their children’s lives.
Yesterday, law enforcement in The Bronx responded to a call from an apartment complex. A neighbor heard a man screaming “HELP ME,” as he carried his young sons, both bleeding, out of their apartment. It turns out, this father just called 911. According to paramedics, the little boys, aged three years old and eleven months old, had stab wounds on their necks. In addition, the EMTs performed CPR on the children, as they were rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, they succumbed to their wounds at the hospital.
