Panterra Shares Her Message of Self-Love in Her Latest Single “Bad Bitch”
Women have been generationally deprived of the right to express themselves freely. As a woman, society expects you to be quiet and submissive and always look feminine to pass as attractive and desirable. This pressure to conform to the societal standards of beauty and femininity lowers confidence, and those who don’t see their body types or skin online feel they are not enough. Celebrated celebrity twerk instructor, dancer, and Billboard charting singer and rapper Lexy Panterra has returned to the scene to remind every woman that she is enough and capable of achieving greatness. Over the past few years, Lexy has worked on several projects promoting self-love and self-expression, including her latest trap-heavy, hip-hop release, “Bad Bitch.”
According to Lexy, one of the reasons she chose rap for the song is to help her reach more people and make her message clearer. “Being in this industry as a woman, I just feel like I have a lot to prove, so I’m proving it. With pop music, you can’t really do that. You see artists using the same formulas to produce and release music, and it all looks and feels the same. I wanted something different. With rap, I can really go into more detail, so you feel it in your core, and I hope this song resonates with a wider audience, especially my female fan base. I want to show them that their opinions matter and they don’t have to be somebody they are not to please society,” Lexy says.
“Bad Bitch” is all about embracing your true self. Being confident in your own skin and body and not trying to compare yourself to anyone else because, as Lexy puts it, “It is absurd to live your whole life this way.” The song has attracted massive attention across all her streaming platforms and enormous social media audience. Ahead of this latest release, Lexy also released “Simple Life” at the beginning of 2023. The pop tune was a departure from the sound she’s become known for and quickly rose in popularity with her fans, with many praising the impeccable sound, beats, and message.
Lexy says one of her goals this year is to make more music. “My biggest regret over the course of my career has been not releasing enough music. I focused on other aspects of my brand and neglected music, but this will change. This year, I promised myself to focus more on music. I plan to release at least one song every month,” Lexy adds.
As Lexy works on this, she encourages young women to be proud of who they are and stand up for themselves. She shares her story openly and wants her message to her listeners to be one that rejects social pressures, is open about their feelings, and fights for their ideals. Lexy’s music has amassed over 10M combined plays, and she has been recognized by notable names in the industry as her artistic talents gain more attention. With her allies finding her message every day, Lexy has already collaborated with the likes of Marshmello, Shaun Frank, Lil Yachty, and more. Two of her songs have also made the Billboard 100 charts, with more to come.
